Marco Meert, 53, has been a permanent fixture at the PA since April 2008, in his role as Head Chef.
Born in Brussels, he trained as a chef under many of Belgium’s’ finest culinary technicians. He first came to the UK in 1986, working in an Italian restaurant, before moving on to bigger and better things! With many years experience behind him, Marco moved to Bosnia in 2002, where he and a partner had a thriving business, serving dishes with a modern European twist, until he returned to the UK four years later.
Marco rates his namesake, Marco Pierre-White as possibly the one chef who he has drawn most inspiration from. Marko loves to cook any kind of fish dish and also very much enjoys experimenting with sauces. There is nothing that he doesn’t enjoy cooking (so he says!)
